Welcome to Winning Stride Physiotherapy! I'm Darcy Dalton, an equine physiotherapist dedicated to elevating the performance of horses and riders.
I completed my Bachelor's in Sports Science at Federation University in Ballarat in 2013, followed by a Master's in Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland in 2016, and subsequently earned a Post-Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy from Liverpool University. Over five years at South West Health Care and three at Physio Freedom in Warrnambool, I've cultivated a diverse skill set working with various clients.
In elite equine physiotherapy, I had the unique opportunity to collaborate with Equi Motion in Sydney. This experience included time at Gai Waterhouse's stables, where I contributed to the care of notable runners such as Platinum Jubilee and Serpentine, from the Golden Slipper to the Melbourne Cup.
Further enriching my expertise, I spent time with the Animal Rehab Centre in Mornington, focusing on the nuanced needs of equestrian horses.
Born in Warrnambool, the heart of my equine journey. I carry a familial legacy deeply ingrained in the racing world—my late uncle Mark Primmer, a respected trainer, and cousin Brenton, a jockey—fueled my passion for equine well-being. Four years as a stable hand at Matthew Williams Racing provided me with hands-on experience and a deep understanding of racing dynamics.
At Winning Stride Physiotherapy, I'm on a mission to empower every horse to achieve peak performance. Join me in taking a proactive approach to equine healthcare, where passion meets expertise.
